First Time Hotel Massage in Amsterdam: What to Expect, in Order

Nobody enjoys doing something for the first time in a foreign city without knowing the steps. This guide lays out every stage of a first booking to your room, so nothing on the night comes as a surprise.

A first time hotel massage in Amsterdam is mostly unfamiliar for reasons that have nothing to do with the massage. You are not sure what to write, whether the hotel will object, what to have ready or how the money works. Those are the questions this guide answers, one stage at a time and in the order they happen. The session itself is yours and the therapist's to shape together; everything around it is laid out below.

Before you write: three decisions

You need to know three things before sending anything, and none of them has to be perfect.

  • When. Tonight, or a specific later date. Both work, but they are handled a little differently, as explained further down.
  • How long. One hour, ninety minutes, two hours, three hours or the night. If you cannot decide, ninety minutes is the length most first-time guests choose, and the guide to choosing a length helps if you want to think it through.
  • Which format. Sensual, nuru, tantra, body-to-body, four hands or a booking for a couple. If none of the names mean much yet, write that you are new and describe the kind of evening you have in mind. That is plenty.

It also helps to open one or two therapist profiles. You do not have to choose anyone in particular, but seeing who works with the house makes the booking feel less abstract, and every profile carries the full table of rates.

The first message

Bookings run through WhatsApp, and Telegram works too. The message itself can be one line. Write the part of the city your hotel is in, the length, the format if you know it, and the time you would like her to arrive. The message needs no name and no documents. Every guest must be twenty-one or older, and the therapist may ask to see photo identification when she arrives, so keep it within reach. The room number is asked for later, once she is on her way, so leave it out.

Write in English, even if English is your second language. Short, simple sentences are perfectly fine and are often easier for everyone. If you prefer another language, say so; several therapists speak French, Spanish, Russian and other languages, and the coordinator can take that into account.

Confirmation, about ten minutes later

A coordinator reads your message and checks who is free and close. In about ten minutes you receive a reply with a therapist's name, the arrival time and the total. If the woman you asked for is busy, the reply says so and suggests someone else. If anything in your message was unclear, this is where a short question comes back.

From this point the thread is your single line of contact. Everything important, including the payment details for the deposit and her message from the lobby, comes through it. A message that asks for money before the office has confirmed your booking, or that arrives from a different number, is not from the house.

First time hotel massage: the deposit step

Every first booking with the house is confirmed with a deposit of half the fee, whatever the length and whatever the hour. That is a fixed rule, not a judgement about you, and it applies to every new guest. For ninety minutes with one therapist, 270 euros in total, the deposit is 135 euros and the other 135 euros is paid to her in the room.

The deposit is paid by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, and only after confirmation. Bank transfers are not used, PayPal is not accepted and cash cannot serve as a deposit, because the deposit must be in place before she sets out. A deposit is not refunded if you cancel, so book the evening you actually intend to have. If plans change, one move to another date within fourteen days is possible when asked for more than 24 hours before the booked time. The cancellation policy gives every detail.

After your first booking, the rule relaxes in one specific case: a same-day booking of one or two hours is then paid entirely on arrival. Longer sessions, overnights, advance bookings and two-therapist bookings keep the deposit.

Tonight or a later date

A booking for tonight and a booking for a date later in your trip follow the same steps, with two small differences. A booking for tonight is confirmed with a named therapist and an arrival time based on who is free now. A booking for a later date is confirmed with a precise start time and, if you asked for one, a specific therapist, since there is more time to plan around her.

The second difference concerns money. Any booking made more than 24 hours in advance carries a deposit of half the fee, for every guest, first-time or not. For a first booking the deposit applies either way, so for you the practical difference is only in timing: a later date simply gives everyone more room to arrange things well. Many first-time guests book the second or third evening of a trip in this way, once they have settled into the hotel and the city.

Worries that almost every new guest has

Some worries come up so often that they are worth answering here directly. Guests wonder whether they are too tired, too shy or too unfamiliar with the formats to enjoy the evening. They are not; therapists work with first-time guests every week and set the pace accordingly. Guests wonder whether the hotel will call the room. It will not, because the hotel has no reason to. Guests wonder whether the photographs on the profiles match the women who come. The confirmation names the woman who is actually coming, and her profile is the one you can open. And guests wonder whether they have to say or do anything particular. They do not. Opening the door is the only required step.

While she is on her way

She reaches any central address forty to sixty minutes after setting out. Use that time. A shower comes first, because it is the single thing that makes the start of the session calm rather than hurried. Then the room:

  • Turn the heating up a degree or two. A room that feels right when dressed feels cool otherwise.
  • Switch off the ceiling light and leave one lamp on.
  • Clear the bed of clothes, bags and laptops, and put two clean towels within reach.
  • Close the curtains fully and hang the do-not-disturb sign.
  • Put the balance somewhere sensible, such as a wallet or a jacket pocket, rather than on the bed.

When she sends the room-number question, reply with it. If your hotel lifts need a key card, tell her, and she will write when she reaches the lobby so you can meet her at the lift.

At the hotel

First-time guests often worry about the building more than anything else. There is nothing to arrange with the hotel, and you should not ask reception, the concierge or anyone else for permission. A woman walking calmly to the lift in the evening is one of the most ordinary things a hotel lobby sees. She will not stop at the desk, will not give your name and will not wait in the corridor. Our note on what we never ask the front desk explains why this approach works so well.

The knock

When she knocks, open the door, invite her in and close the door behind her. That is all. The first few minutes are simple and a little social: a greeting, a moment to put down her bag, perhaps a glass of water. This is the natural moment to settle the balance, so that nobody has to think about money again for the rest of the evening. Hand it to her directly; she will count it briefly and put it away.

If you have preferences, now is the time to mention them. A quiet session or a talkative one, music or silence, a warmer room or a cooler one: she would much rather hear it at the start than guess. You do not need to explain or justify anything, and there are no wrong questions for a first-time guest to ask.

Paying the balance

The balance can be cash, a card or crypto. Cash can be in euros or another major currency, taken at the day's rate. Crypto works when mentioned in the thread beforehand. Nothing is added to your hotel bill, and nothing appears on any hotel record. Tips are not expected; guests who want to leave something extra do so in cash, and the amount is entirely their own choice.

When the session ends

At the end of the booked time she will let you know, without hurry. She showers or freshens up if she needs to, dresses and leaves quietly, and the door closes softly behind her. Nobody from the house sends a follow-up message, asks for feedback or keeps a file about your evening.

If you would like to book again during the same trip, just write in the same thread. Many guests do, and a same-day booking of one or two hours is then paid in full when she arrives. If there is anything this guide did not cover, the frequently asked questions go through the rest.

Asked before booking

The short answers

Do I need to tell the hotel that a therapist is coming?

No. Nothing is arranged with the hotel and you should not ask reception or the concierge. A visitor walking to the lifts is completely ordinary in any hotel, and she will come straight to your room.

Why is there a deposit on my first booking?

Every guest’s first booking with the house is confirmed with half the fee in advance, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, after the office has confirmed. It applies to every new guest at any length, and it is not refunded on cancellation.

What should I have ready when she arrives?

A warm room, one lamp on, clean towels within reach and the balance in a wallet or pocket. Taking a shower before the knock makes the start of the session much calmer.

I do not know the names of the techniques. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Say you are new and describe the evening you would like in a sentence or two. The coordinator will suggest a format and a therapist.

When do I pay the rest of the fee?

The balance is handed to the therapist at the start of the session, in cash, by card or in crypto. Nothing is charged to the hotel room.

Will anyone contact me after the booking?

No. The house sends no follow-up messages and keeps no client file. The WhatsApp or Telegram thread on your phone is the only record, and you can delete it whenever you like.

When the reading is done

Send the hotel, the hour and the length you have in mind. A reply with a name and an arrival time follows in roughly ten minutes, and the balance is paid once she is inside the room.
