The deposit confirms the reservation: half the fee, settled before she sets out, kept if you cancel. The one exception is a same-day hour or two for a guest the house already knows, paid in full at the door.
An overnight reservation is EUR 1,250 for eight hours. Half of that, EUR 625, is taken when the office accepts it, and the remaining EUR 625 is handed over in your room once she has arrived. A three-hour evening for one guest with two therapists is EUR 1,080; the deposit is EUR 540 and the balance, again EUR 540, is settled at the door. Book the same three hours for a couple, a therapist each, and the figure is EUR 2,160, with EUR 1,080 sent ahead and EUR 1,080 paid in the room. A guest who has never booked with the house and wants one hour tonight, EUR 180, sends EUR 90 before she leaves for the hotel and gives her the other EUR 90 when she knocks. Two hours reserved for tomorrow evening rather than this one is EUR 360, and EUR 180 of it is settled at acceptance. Should any of these reservations be cancelled by the guest, the half already paid is not returned.
Now the one reservation that is paid entirely when she arrives. A guest the house has looked after before messages the booking line from a hotel room at ten in the evening and asks for ninety minutes tonight. Confirmation comes back in roughly ten minutes, the therapist reaches the door in forty to sixty minutes anywhere in central Amsterdam, and EUR 270 is paid to her at that point, in cash at the day's rate, by card or in crypto. That is the single exception, and it is drawn tightly: a same-day massage session of one or two hours, from a name already in the book. Every other reservation, a guest's first one included, confirms with half the fee, and a returning guest who wants three hours, or a later date, is back inside the rule. Every rate, for a single guest or a couple and with one therapist or two, is printed on each profile in the roster.
Guests occasionally arrive at this page with a piece of consumer law in mind, and it deserves an exact statement, because the whole policy sits inside it.
What applies instead is the policy on this page, read together with the house terms. The office will gladly point a guest to the article if asked, and will not pretend the withdrawal window exists when the statute says otherwise.
Eight kinds of booking ask the house to commit resources before the evening itself, and each of them takes half the price in advance, fixed at fifty percent, not a range and not open to discussion:
Deposits are taken by card, through Revolut or Wise, or in cryptocurrency, the methods that clear before anyone leaves for your hotel. The house does not accept bank transfers or PayPal for this purpose, and cash cannot serve as a deposit: cash arrives with the therapist, and the deposit has to be in place before she sets out. The office quotes the exact sum in writing when it accepts the reservation, and the payment details follow inside that confirmed WhatsApp thread, never ahead of acceptance and never from anyone other than the office. Being new to the house is, on its own, reason enough for the half: the first reservation always carries it, whether it is an hour this evening or a weekend a month away. Once that first evening has gone as planned, a same-day hour or two from you is paid in full when she arrives, and nothing else about the terms changes.
By the time a guest cancels an overnight or a two-therapist evening, a good deal has already happened. Someone in the office has confirmed the reservation, checked the hotel and the room number, and fixed the timing. A therapist, or two, has closed her calendar for that block and turned away other work that landed in the same window. For an airport booking or an overnight, transport has been arranged and a second person has often been coordinated around it. Each of those steps was carried out because the reservation was accepted, and none of them can be taken back once it is cancelled.
The deposit is the price of that work. It is not a charge for changing your plans; it is what the reservation had already cost the house on the day you changed them. That is why there is no refund schedule: no tiered percentage for a week's notice, no partial return inside a day, no window in which cancelling is free. The expense dates from acceptance, and notice given later does not reach back to undo it.
The house recognises two circumstances that sit outside this: a government order that prevents the business from operating, and serious illness that prevents the session from being delivered. Where one of those is accepted, the deposit becomes credit toward a later reservation. It never becomes cash. Each request is considered on its own facts. A meeting that overran, a headache, a delayed train, a moved flight, a hotel switch or a change of heart do not qualify; they are cancellations in the ordinary sense, and the deposit remains with the house.
A reservation can be moved once. The request has to reach the office in the WhatsApp thread more than twenty-four hours before the booked time, and the new date has to fall within fourteen days; the deposit already paid then carries over to that date, one time only. A second move on the same reservation, or a request to move that arrives inside the final twenty-four hours, is handled as a cancellation, and the deposit stays with the house. So a guest who learns on Tuesday that Thursday's dinner has shifted to the following week keeps the booking and the money in it; the same guest writing on Thursday afternoon does not.
A late request with the therapist already in a taxi, or already crossing the lobby, or the same-day hour or two from a guest the office has looked after before, is accepted with no deposit. If that reservation is cancelled, the same expense has already been committed: her travel, her blocked hours, the requests declined on her behalf. The office will then request a sum matching the deposit the reservation would have carried had one been taken. It is the same policy collected afterwards rather than before, and paying it promptly keeps the relationship exactly where it was.
Two further terms belong here. When a session is ended early by the guest, the price is not reduced in whole or in part. The hour was reserved for you, she made the journey to your hotel, and the remaining minutes cannot be offered to anyone else. And should her safety or her consent be compromised, a therapist may end the session at once, and no refund follows.
A booking placed under a false name, with a phone number or profile belonging to someone else, a reservation made as a joke, or a no-show by someone who never meant to open the door: these are not cancellations, and the house does not file them as such. The identifiers used are recorded, shared with other reputable Amsterdam houses so their own therapists know the name before it reaches them, and passed to the relevant authorities where that is the appropriate course.
A guest who books in good faith and is in the room when she knocks will never encounter any of this. It exists for forty-five therapists who walk into unfamiliar hotels alone and late, and it is kept for their protection.
