The bars have closed, the canals have gone dark and your body has decided it is not ready for sleep. This page explains how a booking made between midnight and dawn actually runs, from the first message to the moment the door closes again.

What an after midnight massage looks like from your room

An after midnight massage in Amsterdam starts the way every booking here starts: one message to the WhatsApp thread. Several women on the roster choose to keep hours after midnight, and the reply tells you which of them is free, with a name and a time. From that confirmation, the knock comes forty to sixty minutes later at any central address, which is the same window we give at four in the afternoon.

What changes after twelve is the setting, not the service. The corridor is silent, the lift is empty and the city outside your window has almost stopped. Guests often tell us that this is the part of the night they remember, because nothing competes with the hour. The rest of this page covers the practical side, and the late night massage page covers the earlier part of the evening, from about ten until midnight.

The line at one, two and three o'clock

People assume the small hours are a thin version of the day. They are not. Enough women on the roster keep late hours to meet the times when hotel guests actually write, and a large share of messages arrive between midnight and three: travellers back from a late dinner, guests who could not sleep after a long flight, and business visitors whose day only ended when the last drink did.

Around four the traffic slows, and by five the first early-morning requests begin. Through all of it a message can be written at any hour, and a therapist who accepts a booking at that time is usually already dressed, with her bag packed. The only thing you need to do while you wait is keep your phone near you, because she will send a short message when she is in the taxi and another when she reaches the building.

Getting her past a night porter

After midnight most hotels in the centre lock the street door and leave one person at reception. That sounds like an obstacle and rarely is one. A guest who has a visitor at one in the morning is an ordinary event for a night porter, and a woman in a coat with a small bag does not look like anything unusual.

Two details help. First, if your building uses key cards in the lift, say so in the thread, so she can message you from the lobby and you can come down or send the lift. Second, leave the room number until she is on her way; there is no need to put it in the first message. Our guide to booking discreetly to a hotel room goes through the arrival in more detail, including what to say if reception calls up.

Choosing a length when the night is already short

At one in the morning, most guests choose one hour or ninety minutes. Ninety minutes brings an extra thirty minutes' worth on top of the hour, and both leave enough of the night for real sleep before a morning flight or a breakfast meeting, and ninety minutes is the length we see most often after a long evening out, because the first quarter of an hour is spent simply slowing down.

Two hours, twice the single fee for one guest with one therapist, suits the traveller whose body clock is still somewhere over the Atlantic and who knows sleep will not come before four anyway. Three hours or more after midnight is less common, and at that point many guests look at the overnight instead: eight hours with one therapist at a single fixed sum, less than eight separate hours would come to. If you are unsure which to choose, the therapist profiles each carry the full table, including the rows for couples and for two therapists.

What the small hours cost, and what is paid first

There is no night supplement. The hour after midnight costs what the hour after lunch costs, and her journey to you is not charged on top.

What does apply is the house deposit rule, and it applies at night exactly as it does by day. If this is your first booking with us, half the fee is sent before she sets out, by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, and the other half is paid in the room. The same half is taken for any session of three hours or more, for an overnight and for any booking with two therapists. The only booking paid entirely at the door is a same-day session of one or two hours from a guest we have already looked after. The balance can be cash, card or crypto. The complete terms, including what happens if you cancel, are on the cancellation policy page.

Small habits that keep a late booking calm

Turn the heating up when you send the first message, not when she arrives; hotel rooms cool quickly at night. Switch off the main light and leave one lamp on. If you have had a drink or two, drink a glass of water before she knocks, because you will enjoy the session more. Put the do-not-disturb sign on the door, which also stops the rare late room-service mistake.

Finally, be honest in the thread about how awake you are. Some guests want to fall asleep the moment the session ends, and she will leave quietly and let the door close softly behind her. Others want to talk for a few minutes first. Either is fine, and saying which one you are is the kind of detail that shapes the hour before it begins.
