Deposit for a hotel room booking

Think of it as the hold a hotel places on a card at check-in, settled before the evening begins. The deposit is half the fee printed on the therapist's profile. Once the hour has been agreed in the WhatsApp thread, the exact figure and the way to pay it are written into that thread, and the payment settles before the therapist leaves for the hotel.

Reservations that carry one

• Anything booked more than 24 hours before it starts.
• Every overnight.
• Every reservation for two therapists.
• Every Schiphol or airport-hotel visit, which is by arrangement, with the journey time agreed before anything is fixed.
• Peak dates: King's Day, ADE and Pride, Christmas and New Year, and the weeks when big conferences fill the city's hotels.
• Every session of three hours or longer.
• The first reservation any new guest makes, at any length.

Exactly one kind of reservation skips the advance payment and is settled in full in the room: a guest who has booked with the house on an earlier occasion asks for a one- or two-hour massage for later that same day.

In proportion

An overnight is confirmed with half the night's sum. Three hours for one guest with a pair of therapists needs half of that booking, and a night for a couple with a therapist each needs half of the largest figure on the whole grid. A two-hour reservation made the day before needs one of its two hours paid ahead, and a new guest's single hour needs thirty minutes' worth of it.

How it is paid

By card, or by Revolut, Wise or cryptocurrency for a guest who prefers one of those. Cash cannot serve as a deposit, because cash travels with the therapist and belongs to the balance. Payment details appear only inside the thread the guest opened, and only after the hour is agreed; a request for money that arrives earlier, or from another number, did not come from the house.

When plans change

A cancelled booking costs the part of the fee already earned by the time the message arrives. With more than a day to go, that part is nothing and the deposit is returned. Inside the final day, before she has set out, half the deposit is kept. From the moment she is travelling, all of it is. If another guest books the freed hour, the deposit comes back in full, and a guest who shows the house lost less than it kept pays less. Where the house itself cannot deliver, the guest picks a new date or takes the deposit back.
