Arrival window: from message to the knock at your door

Room service quotes a time; so does the house. From the moment a same-day reservation is confirmed, a therapist reaches any central Amsterdam door within forty to sixty minutes. That figure does not shift from one neighbourhood to the next. A tower beside the station, a townhouse hotel on a canal and a serviced flat in the south of the city all share it, and the office does not publish a different promise for each district.

When the clock starts

It starts at confirmation, not at the first message. How long a reply takes varies with the evening, which is why the window is measured from confirmation. Where the reservation carries a deposit, she sets out once it has settled. A booking confirmed at a quarter past ten should therefore be pictured as a knock between five to eleven and a quarter past eleven, never at half past ten.

A reservation made ahead for a named hour works differently. She is timed to knock at the hour agreed, and the confirmation states it.

What the hour is for

Things that change the shape, not the length
